ABOUT US

St Catherine of Sienna catholic church located in the heart of Birmingham. A beautiful multicultural parish with members reaching 250. Founded in 1874, it's parish church was demolished and replaced a mid-Victorian building in 1964. It was one of the first Roman catholic churches in the city. The design of St. Catherine's purpose is to recall Italy the homeland of the saint to which the church is dedicated to, its side rooms place host to many community groups and outreach services.

Who is St Catherine Of Sienna?

​

Catherine was the youngest of 25 children born to a lower middle-class family; most of her siblings did not survive childhood. At a young age she is said to have consecrated her virginity to Christ and experienced mystical vision.
